Stained Polyester - please help!
Posted on January 4, 2007 by LeiLani Pinkerton
Does anyone have tips on getting sugar-free fruit juice out of polyester? Lloyd went straight into a nasty little pot hole yesterday and I cant for the life of me get the stain out of his favorite shirt! Ive tried ginger ale, fabric softner, and soda water. Let me know if you have any ideas!

Jamestown Collage

I just got done completing this collage of Jamestown settlement made out of rocks, twigs, leaves, and other such items I found on the streets of Williamsburg! Dad is going to be so proud. That place was so funand I learned so much about the founding of our nation! Im going to stop here. Ive got a lot of reading to do before we get to New York. Did you know three of our founding fathers lived in Albany? I hope I can find some of their descendents to talk to!
best,
Rod
Williamsburg

Although I usually dont agree with my sister, Williamsburg was awful. Seriously, did people in colonial America not drink coffee? Not a single decent place to get a chai or latte within 50 miles. Seriously. Well, gotta go, Dads nagging me to get off the laptop. Please, like he even knows how to use the thing.

The Journey Begins
Posted on January 4, 2007 by Lloyd Pinkerton
What a week! Currently, were driving from Sarasota, Florida, where Leilanis mom lives, to our first event up in Albany, New York! Its really exciting. I wanted to take the kids to colonial Williamsburg, because its only about an hour out of our way. The twins were throwing a fit, saying it would be boring because theres nothing interesting about colonial AmericaI beg to differ, and as I walked the family around the countrys first capitol and other parts of the quaint village, I couldnt help but think they had a change of heart.
We were going to leave Williamsburg and spend a couple of days in Washington before the big event, but the bus broke down as we were pulling out of town. Turns out, she needed a new fan belt. You know how much that sucker cost? Parts and labor, $326.72! I really think the guy was ripping me off. But hey, we loaded up on travel-size soaps at the Red Roof Inn we ended up at for a couple of nights. Praise the Lord for fast food dollar menus is all I have to say!
Were trying to make good time so we can spend a week or two exploring the Albany area and to get the word out about the event.
Changing our culture one mile at a time,
Lloyd
