The Journey Begins
Posted on January 4, 2007 by Lloyd Pinkerton
What a week! Currently, were driving from Sarasota, Florida, where Leilanis mom lives, to our first event up in Albany, New York! Its really exciting. I wanted to take the kids to colonial Williamsburg, because its only about an hour out of our way. The twins were throwing a fit, saying it would be boring because theres nothing interesting about colonial AmericaI beg to differ, and as I walked the family around the countrys first capitol and other parts of the quaint village, I couldnt help but think they had a change of heart.
We were going to leave Williamsburg and spend a couple of days in Washington before the big event, but the bus broke down as we were pulling out of town. Turns out, she needed a new fan belt. You know how much that sucker cost? Parts and labor, $326.72! I really think the guy was ripping me off. But hey, we loaded up on travel-size soaps at the Red Roof Inn we ended up at for a couple of nights. Praise the Lord for fast food dollar menus is all I have to say!
Were trying to make good time so we can spend a week or two exploring the Albany area and to get the word out about the event.
Changing our culture one mile at a time,
Lloyd
